We want a practical, first-hand travel guide to 5 underrated winter destinations in India that a traveller can enjoy for under ₹15,000 per person for 3 to 4 days (stay, local transport, food and entry fees; travel to the nearest airport or railway station listed separately). For each place: why it's worth going in winter, how to get there, where to stay at that budget, what to see and eat, the best dates to visit, and one honest tip. At least 2 of the 5 should be places you have visited yourself. Please avoid the obvious picks (Goa, Manali, Shimla, Ooty, Munnar). Prices should be current and realistic. Any facts you didn't check yourself (ticket prices, timings, rules) must link to an official or reliable source.
